人怎麼待他，他就怎麼待人。
對不接納他的人，基督也不接納他們。
對接納他為上帝兒子的人，基督就賜他們上帝兒女的權柄。
約翰福音1:12 凡接待他的，就是信他名的人，他就賜他們權柄作上帝的兒女。
基督來了，來到他最小的僕人們中間，來到這世界最偉大的人面前；在受鄙視的人中，也在受讚揚的人中，在他的愚人和智者中。但是他們不僅拒絕了基督，關上了門，而且他們甚至追捕他，嘲笑他。直到如今，他們仍然敵對基督和他的話語。但是他們不能勝過他。因為他是萬軍之主。
他是全能的十架君王，在這十架下他的榮耀是隱藏著的。
所以，大門向他關著，沒有人想要他進去。身居高位的人全力抵擋他，卻是不能。
「誰是這位榮耀的王呢？」人們議論他說：「誰是那異端，煽動群眾作亂的？」
「誰是這位榮耀的王呢？」他們用最惡毒的藐視，用最甚的鄙視對待這位王。（詩篇1-25篇解釋，1530年）（WA 31.1:373）
在這裏我們知道：
對於那些接納他、相信他、視他為上帝差遣拯救世界的人，
上帝兒子的降臨帶給他們何等大的榮耀，永不失效的寶藏：
對於所有相信他名的人，基督就是新的管道和中介，使他們得到上帝兒女之特權和能力。
如果我們相信基督是天父上帝的永在的話語，萬物都是藉著他被造（
如果我們相信他是人的生命和光（
如果我們在一切的需要中呼求他，為他那不可言表的恩典和恩惠感謝他；
這樣我們就得到那非凡的權柄、特權、和權力：
成為慈愛天父的親愛兒女，
屬天的永恆國度的繼承人，
基督的兄弟，與基督同為後嗣（

Indeed, that very glory is hidden. Therefore to him the gates are locked, and no one wants to let him in. Those in high places resist him with all their strength, but it does not help them. He is a mighty king of the cross his glory is hidden.
「Who is the king of glory?」 Thus it will happen to him. 「Who,」 they will say, 「is this heretic, this agitator of the people?」 They apply such names to the king. Who is the king of glory? They speak these words with bitterest scorn, and show the greatest contempt for that king. How absurd a thing it is that he is called a king of glory!
Christ still comes —— in those who are the least of his servants to those who are the greatest of this world; in those who are despised to those who are praised; in his fools to the wise. But not only do they keep him out and shut the door, but they even hunt him down and scoff at him; they still oppose Christ and his Word, but they will never overpower him. For he is the Lord of hosts. He is now the king of glory, for he remains the king of glory eternally, and the heavenly hosts and the saints on earth worship and serve him. Here you learn what a great glory and what an ineffable eternal treasure the advent of God’s Son brought to those who accept Him, believe in Him, and regard Him as the Man sent by God to help the world. They believe that He is to be the new means and agency for the bestowal of both the power and the prerogative of children of God upon all who believe in His name.
If we believe that He is the eternal Word of the Father through whom all things were made (John 1:3);
if we believe that He is the Light and the Life of man (John 1:4) and the Lamb of God which bears the sins of the world (John 1:29) and removes these sins and casts them into the depths of the sea, as the prophet Micah said (Micah 7:19);
if we call upon Him in every need and thank Him for His inexpressible grace and benefits—then we shall have the singular privilege, liberty, and right
to be the dear children of a gracious Father in heaven,
to be heirs of all His eternal and heavenly goods,
to be, as Paul declares in Rom. 8:17, the brethren and fellow heirs of Christ, and
