耶利米書23:23-24里說：「耶和華說：我是近處的上帝，不也為遠處的上帝嗎？......我豈不充滿天地嗎？」

箴言15:11說：「陰間和滅亡尚在耶和華眼前，何況世人的心呢？」

詩篇139篇整篇都在證明，它用最美妙的方式說：「上帝啊，你鑒察我。」

因為上帝在任何地方，所以，人應該全心信靠祂。即使我們在任何地方被所有事物棄絕，上帝都可以在那裡幫助我們。——馬丁路德（AE 29:164）

God Is Near

In Jer. 23:23–24 we read: 「Am I a God at hand … and not a God afar off? … Do I not fill heaven and earth? says the Lord.」 Prov. 15:11 says: 「Hell and destruction are before the Lord; how much more the hearts of the children of men!」 And Ps. 139, in its entirety, states this most beautifully of all: 「O Lord, Thou hast searched me.」 Therefore since the Lord is present everywhere, one should believe in Him with all confidence; for He can help us everywhere, even if everything forsakes us everywhere. （AE 29:164）
